Poems

Weeping willow

The back of my eyelids never hurt me

I'm afraid of the dark

but the dreams that follow free me

The ache in my heart is easily silenced

I dream the pain away

never resorting to violence

instead of the cuts on my arms

They're deep in my heart

but I get the urge when I wake to my alarm

blue and black bags

blood sucker skin

They all feel like nags

My head hits the pillow

I'm in the dark

then dreaming of that weeping willow

The wind blows

and the leaves follow

I swear the tree glows

and I forgot about tomorrow

I don't feel the ache anymore

It's quiet

but not a bore

I'm happy, free

but nothing last forever

beep, beep, beep

first i wake then i weep

it hurts

i just want to go back to sleep

Shaken, broken, bruised

i feel the hands drown me under

i hear the air from my lungs pop

they travel farther

the surface where you watch me drown

my hand disappears

angry waves crash down

they shake the happy thoughts of you

showing me the truth

all your hands on me

make it hard to stand

my shaken, broken, bruised knees

I'm shaken, broken, bruised

shaken, broken, bruised

shaken, broken, bruised

boy don't you make me feel used

Burning ache

fires beautiful until your in it

your skin crawls then aches

even if you try to leave and quit

It'll do whatever it takes

First it takes your air

smothering your lungs with a toxic gas

then takes your soul

and you take one last gasp

it leaves you, alone

a sad burning feeling

that can't be cured with a soft spoken tone

the tears that dry o your cheeks

turn the fire to ash

the sad to mad

the burning less of an ache

will you do whatever it takes?
